Of course, when it’s “that time of the month,” woman usually get all kinds of
aches and pains. I used to always keep a box of Midol (anti-cramp medicine) in
my room for that particular time. But eventually, I began to learn more and
more about how God is our healer and how we should really on Him to take care of us more than any man. I had heard it all before. But this was the first time
that I really felt in my heart that I could go to God instead of using medicine
because I had been in full obedience to Him.
One day, when I woke up feeling cramps in my stomach (along with other
painful symptoms), I knew that I was about to start my period. I looked at the
box of Midol I had and thought really hard about whether or not I should take
it. Finally, I prayed to God and explained to Him that I saw no reason why I
should have to take that medicine to feel better because He was my healer and I
wanted to start relying on Him for those needs.
I waited and waited. After a couple of hours, the pain
was still there. But I just assumed it was a test to see if I would really wait
for God. So I prayed again and told God that I was not giving up on Him and that
I was still waiting. Sure enough, after a few minutes, all the cramps I had
slowly went away. My stomach didn’t hurt. My breasts didn’t hurt. My feet didn’t
hurt when I walked on them. And I didn’t feel “tender” or bloated. God saw that
I was willing to have patience and wait on Him. He answered my
prayer.
