the mascot & logo
On the home page (as well as at the bottom of this page) is the Cow Power
Ministries logo and mascot. It is a green cow that goes by the name Señor Mooski.
Señor (or Sir) Mooski is a transgender cow. So although it was born a she, it prefers to
be called a he instead of a she. I guess you could say he is a pre-op (before the operation)
transgender cow. But the question that may be on the mind of most people is, “Why is
this cow green?” Yes, there is a reason for this. And it is a very symbolic reason.

In the Bible, there are various false gods that were being worshipped, such
as Dagon and Molech. The moon and the stars were worshipped. Even animals were
worshiped as well. And statues or other images were sometimes made to represent
the beings that were considered gods. The people that worshipped these false
gods were called pagans.

worshiped as well. And statues or other images were sometimes made to represent
the beings that were considered gods. The people that worshipped these false
gods were called pagans.
In the book of Exodus (chapter 32) from the Bible, the Israelites turned
their backs on the one, true God. They caused Aaron to create a false god for
them to worship. They did this by giving Aaron their golden earrings and he
melted and molded the rings together and fashioned them with a tool to create
the image of a calf. So the Israelites began worshipping this molten golden
calf.

Let’s pause from the Bible for just a moment to look into something else: The
Statue of Liberty.
Statue of Liberty.
The Statue of Liberty has been said to be made in the image of one of its
creator’s (Frédéric Bartholdi’s) mother. However, many conspiracy
theorists believe that the statue was made in the image of a Roman pagan goddess
called Libertas. Also, originally, the Statue of Liberty was not green. It is
made with copper. So it started out as a shiny bronze color. But due to years
upon years of weather damage, the coloring has been worn down to a dull
green.

To sum that up, the Statue of Liberty is, possibly, a modern image of a false
god and it’s “true colors” have been exposed, so to speak. If you think about
it, it kinda sounds like what happens when people wear fake jewelry. When a
person wears a fake gold ring or necklace for a period of time, what happens?
Their finger or neck begins to turn green. This exposes the lie that the jewelry
is real and proves that it is fake… or false. Like a false god. Get it?

All of this explains the symbolic outlook of the green cow in the Cow Power
Ministries picture. This cow was once the golden calf of Exodus. But now, it has
humbled itself. It has acknowledged the fact that it is not God or a god. It is
simply part of the one, true God’s creation. And because it has now accepted the
reality that it is the created and not the Creator, it is seeking the Savior and
salvation at the cross. So now, the gold and the falseness of this once false
god has been stripped away and it’s true colors have now been exposed.

Now, it may seem a little silly that a cow, an animal, is trying to praise
God. However, ‘tis quite the contrary. Psalms chapter 148 is, for the most part,
a list of all the things in nature and throughout the universe that should
worship God. The list includes (respectively):
angels, hosts, the sun, the moon, stars, the heavens, the waters, dragons, fire,
hail, snow, vapor, wind, mountains, hills, trees, cedars, beasts, cattle, creeping
things, flying fowl, kings, people, princes, judges, young men, maidens, old men,
and children.

As we can see, God wants everyone and everything to worship Him. Even
animals! And this brings us to Psalms 150:6, which says, “Let everything that
has breath praise the LORD. Hallelujah!” That verse is found at the bottom of
the Cow Power logo.

Also, in case you were wondering why the rainbow has the word “SAFE” in it…
Rainbow colors (and specifically on flags), of course, are used to represent gay
pride. Well, if you see the word “safe” placed in, right beside, or at least
somewhere near a rainbow (or also a pink triangle), it is a coded way of saying
“gay-friendly.” In other words, a rainbow means, “this is for gays.” But a
rainbow with “safe” involved means, “there are straight people involved. But
don’t worry, they’re not homophobes. They accept you and you’re safe here.”

And that’s what this mascot and logo all represent. Everything and everybody
coming together as one to the cross. All with an open mind, a humbled heart, a
desire for salvation, a passion for praise, and a spirit of repentance. Instead
of hurting each other because of our differences, we must move toward a mindset
of embracing our differences and using are individual talents and gifts that set
us apart to bring us together in the presence of the LORD so that we may
complete the body of Christ and be a bright light in a dark world.
